Chargers women’s basketball are PACWEST bronze medalists

In a re-match of last years game, the Chargers overcame the defending bronze medalists, Douglas Royals, 66-57 to earn the third-place finish at the 2023 Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) Championship.

Tegan Michel (Oak Bay High/Victoria, B.C.) led the way for the Chargers with 19 points and Allison Bobroske (Lambrick Park Secondary/Victoria, B.C.) was named Chargers Player of the Game with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Eight of these points came at a crucial point late in the game, including

This is the first medal at the PACWEST championships for the team since winning bronze in 2019.

The Camosun Chargers Athletics Program currently fields teams in basketball and volleyball. Since joining the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) and PACWEST conferences in 1994, the Chargers have competed in over 100 national and provincial championships with over 50 medal winning finishes.
