Why Awareness Week?
Consent Awareness Week is an opportunity to demonstrate our care for survivors while doing the critical work to prevent harm and create a community of safety and respect at Camosun and beyond.
Consent Awareness Week 2024 (September 16-20)
We look forward to building on the work of past Awareness Weeks to continue to move forward the mission of a violence-free campus community.
Consent is not just about saying “yes” or “no” in a single moment—it's about creating an ongoing, respectful, and safe environment for everyone. From September 16th to 20th, 2024, the Office of Student Support (OSS) is hosting a series of inclusive and educational events to promote a consent culture at 91AV. We invite all students, faculty, and staff to join us to raise awareness about the importance of consent, demonstrate your commitment to ending sexual and gender-based violence, and find resources to support people within our community.
